Architect / Principal
Kirk Miller, AIA, NCARB
Kirk earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University (go Cowboys!) and a Master of Architecture from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
During his time in Buffalo, Kirk gained hands-on experience at CJS Architects and Watts Architecture & Engineering, where he contributed to a wide range of projects for clients such as the Buffalo Public Schools, Veterans Administration, New York Thruway Authority, and Niagara Falls State Park.
After deciding he’d had enough of Buffalo’s snow, Kirk traded his shovel for sunshine and moved to California, joining TPC Architects. There, he worked on a variety of projects including OSHPD clinic conversions, regional worship centers, and commercial developments.
In 2017, Kirk founded KM Architecture, where he continues to bring thoughtful design and practical creativity to every project.
When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Kirk traveling the world, spending time with his wife and two children, or—more often than not—chasing after one of the family’s chickens.

Sergio Serna Gonzalez
Sergio Serna is a Colombian design professional with a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad de San Buenaventura (Medellín, Colombia, 2015). His professional trajectory includes experience in residential, educational, and commercial projects, covering both design and construction.
A great enthusiast of art, history, and human nature, Sergio has oriented his academic and professional development toward understanding how architecture should not only address the physical needs of human beings, but also their cognitive, emotional, and even ritual needs. This pursuit has led him to actively participate in academic spaces and international associations such as ADEPAC (Association for the Development of Analytical Psychology in Colombia), ANFA (Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture, USA), UP (University of Palermo, Argentina), and IT CUU (Chihuahua Institute of Technology, Mexico), where he has shared research and projects related to neuroarchitecture and the role of psychology in architecture.
In addition to his work in architecture, Sergio is a hobby-dancer and Latin dance instructor in the Sacramento area, an activity that complements and nurtures his artistic sensibility.

Project Designer / Coordinator
Stephanie Gamez
Stephanie was born in El Paso, Texas, and earned her degree in Interior Architecture from Sacramento State University. With a natural love for puzzles and mental challenges, she’s drawn to the intricacies of design, where creativity meets structure.
Her passion lies in repurposing spaces—breathing new life into old buildings rather than discarding them. To Stephanie, architecture is not just about constructing something new; it’s about reimagining what already exists and uncovering the potential within. She believes every space has a story, and she thrives on the opportunity to continue that story through thoughtful, sustainable design.
Outside of her professional aspirations, Stephanie enjoys baking and reading—activities that reflect her appreciation for detail, patience, and creativity. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Her ultimate goal is to become a licensed architect, leading and designing her own projects that merge purpose with beauty.
